Keeping Beverly Hills Safe.Preserving What Matters.

Dear Fellow Beverly Hills Resident,
I am excited to officially announce my candidacy for Beverly Hills City Council. Like many of you, I chose Beverly Hills because of its character, its neighborhoods, and the people who make it feel like home. But today, we face real challenges that require strong, thoughtful leadership.
Beverly Hills is entering a period of significant change. With the arrival of the Metro, global events like the World Cup and Olympics, and increasing pressure on our local economy, we must be proactive in protecting what makes our city exceptional.
My campaign is built on three core principles: public safety, fiscal responsibility, and financial integrity.
Public safety must remain our top priority. That means ensuring strong law enforcement presence, investing in modern technology, and protecting our neighborhoods, schools, and places of worship.
Fiscal responsibility means making smart, disciplined decisions with taxpayer dollars. We are facing future budget challenges, and we must act now to eliminate waste, prioritize essential services, and ensure long-term stability without placing additional burdens on residents.
Financial integrity means strengthening our local economy in a way that benefits the people who live here. We must support our businesses, address long-term vacancies, and create programs like "Live Here, Shop Here" that keep our community connected and economically strong.
I bring a background in national security, business leadership, and public service, with a lifelong commitment to discipline, accountability, and results. I am running to ensure Beverly Hills remains one of the safest, most well-managed, and most respected cities in the world—not just for visitors, but for the people who call it home. I would be honored to earn your support.
Sincerely,
Clayton Moshe Saunders
Top Priorities
Security Champion
I will end wasteful temporary security spending and invest in a Real-Time Assistance Center, advanced surveillance, and rapid-response drone coverage at every Metro entrance, with firm enforcement zones to keep activity on Wilshire and out of our residential neighborhoods.

You can count on me to address the projected $20M deficit. I will propose a Market Vitality Fee on commercial properties that remain vacant beyond 180 days with revenue restricted to a Safety Lockbox to fund public safety priorities, ensuring fiscal responsibility without increasing costs for residents.

On day one, my priority will be hardened security for all 27 houses of worship, including 21 synagogues, 5 churches, and 1 Islamic center, along with our schools and small businesses, while preserving the character of our neighborhoods.
