Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information the campaign collects, how we use it, and the rights California residents have under CCPA/CPRA. Contact us if you'd like to exercise any of those rights.

1. Who We Are
This site is operated by Clayton M. Saunders for Beverly Hills City Council 2026 ("we," "us," "the campaign"). For questions, contact info@claytonmsaunders.com.
2. Information We Collect
- Information you provide: name, email, phone, address, ZIP, employer/occupation (for donations), volunteer skills/availability, message content, SMS consent.
- Automatically collected: IP address, browser/device information, basic analytics.
- Payment information: When card processing is enabled, payment details are handled directly by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
3. How We Use Information
- To respond to your inquiries and confirm form submissions.
- To send campaign updates by email and (if you opt in) SMS.
- To process donations and comply with FPPC and Beverly Hills municipal disclosure rules.
- To organize volunteer activity and Get-Out-The-Vote efforts.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with: (a) service providers (hosting, email, SMS, payment processing) under contract; (b) government agencies as legally required (FPPC reporting, etc.); and (c) parties to whom you direct us.
5. Your California Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we have collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing." To exercise these rights, email info@claytonmsaunders.com.

6. SMS / Text Messaging
If you opt in, we may send recurring text messages to your phone. See our SMS Terms for full details, frequency, and opt-out instructions.
No SMS data sharing. We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers, opt-in information, or SMS consent data with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used only to deliver the messages you have opted in to receive and to maintain a record of consent as required by law.
7. Retention
We retain donor records for as long as required by law (typically several years per FPPC rules). Other personal data is retained only as long as needed for the campaign and applicable post-election reporting.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards. No system is 100% secure; please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes are effective when posted here.
